Coronavirus – Update

We are still open with normal opening hours in place. Monday-Saturday 9.00am-5.30pm

Bike shops are exempt from the current lockdown in a bid to keep key workers mobile. The Government are trying to encourage workers off public transport and onto bikes while also encouraging people to exercise once a day. Our workshops are very busy servicing bikes for commuters and we are doing all we can to keep everyone safe. Bike collection and drop off options are available and proving very popular. You do need to book in advance by calling the stores direct and talking to staff members. Once booked in we can meet you outside the store or you are welcome in, as we have procedures in place.

We have increased stock of popular spares you might need to keep you going through the next few months. If you are going to keep mobile on two wheels and need to purchase items, we have many ways of getting them to you. We also have a large range of bikes, at all price points, which are ideal for the commute to work. Everyday we are getting contacted by people who don’t want to get on crowded buses and now taking to their bikes. The roads are quieter and the weather is nice so the commute to work can be a pleasant one.

Any questions you have please get in touch and we can talk through options…Store cleaning has been increased and we have hand gels on every counter. Our staff are wearing protective gloves and we have floor markings down to encourage space between people.

Cycling is a great form of exercise and we would all like to be doing more of it. Not only is it good for the body due to it being low impact, but also very good for the mind. Keep going out if you can but stay safe and don’t take risks. Let your family know your route and take your phone with you, keep more local. Before leaving home make sure your bike is in good condition and not going to let you down! Check your tyres and brakes for wear and also check your tyres pressures. There are a lot of bikes coming out of sheds which have not been used for a while, if you are not sure about tyre pressures or anything bike related give us a call and we will advise.

Keep safe and stay healthy.

Joe and the team.
