The Merida Reacto range of bikes has always been a class-leading aero-bike, combining state-of-the-art aerodynamics with rider comfort. The 4th generation of these Merida bikes is more beautiful than ever, incorporating wider tyres, much neater cockpit cable integration and a series of incremental improvements to boost performance. In the world of pro-tour racing, no area can be ignored.
The Merida Reacto 6000 represents a step up from the 5000 model with high-quality specs for serious riders.

Merida Reacto 6000 Performance
Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) calculations were used to model performance in a virtual wind tunnel, guiding the changes that offered the most aerodynamic benefit. Prototypes were also wind tunnel-tested following the German Tour Magazine standard, including the moving leg dummy test. All this means the Merida Reacto CF5 needs just 209 watts effort for 45 km/h speed, making it 1 watt faster than its predecessor. This puts it in the leading group of the fastest aero road bikes ever tested by Tour Magazine.
Merida Reacto 6000 Design
A number of small details help to minimise drag and improve aerodynamic performance. This includes integrating the front disc cooler behind the fork and the rear disc calliper in the rear triangle, as well as creating new bolt-through axles with the thread integrated into the fork dropout. A myriad of small improvements are also in place to compensate for the aerodynamic compromises made to give the Merida Reacto 6000 bigger tyres. This results in the perfect package of comfort, aerodynamics, lightweight, and style.
A long string of test wins, perfect scores, and awards confirm the successful evolution of the Merida Reacto 6000 over the previous model. Cycling Weekly described it as ‘without doubt one of the most complete bikes available on the market’. Cycling News added that it was ‘an utterly brilliant and faultless machine’, while Cycling Plus were ‘hugely impressed’.
All Merida Reacto bikes come with powerful hydraulic disc brakes and callipers mounted on the chain stay for better dissipation of braking forces. Callipers sit on top of CNC aluminium disc cooler fins which reduce operating temperatures by up to 35%.
