We are very excited to announce that at this year's Expo we will be having on display the actual bike that Geraint Thomas won the Alpe Du Huez stage on!
A great opportunity to get a selfie with this famous Tour De France stage winning machine.
Supporting Mental Health Awareness & Steve Bernard Foundation
All proceeds from this years Primera Expo Raffle are going to two charities close to our hearts. In 2015 we lost team rider Gary Dighton to suicide. Olympic cyclist Gary was always upbeat when we saw him and little did we know the torture he must have been experiencing daily. Mental health affects one in four people, a silent killer which is often detected when it’s too late. By increasing awareness of the illness might help sufferers open up about how they feel which in turn will hopefully reduce suicides.
Steve Bernard Foundation is run by close friend Tony Bernard who lost his son Steve in a car accident in 2005. Steve was a gifted sportsman who was taken far too young. The charity does a wonderful job helping coaches, clubs, schools, disability, grassroots and elite sports by purchasing equipment & kit to help them compete in their chosen sports. The Foundation has supported over 300 projects since 2006.
The list of prizes for the raffle are as follows so far:
