WOW what a Sunday of racing.....

Two wins - One 2nd - One 3rd.....

Matt Dennis and Sam Wadsley took the wins on a busy day of racing in Winchester City Centre and Bournemouth Jubilee TT. Matt Dennis, Julian Lockwood and Will Page in the City Centre pain cave which produced some very exciting racing. In the 3/4 race it was a breakaway from the gun with Matt and Julian in the front group. Matt got a gap with another rider which looked like staying away until two more riders joined them including team mate Julian. Last lap and Julian Lockwood took control as lead out man for his team mate. 1st and 3rd on the day and a very exciting finish.

Will Page rode the E12 event! Brutal is the only word to describe the pace from the gun. After a big crash the event was stopped for a short while before it was all go again. Will came home in top 20. We wish everyone involved in the crash a speedy recovery.

Sam Wadsley took the win in the Bournemouth Jubilee Wheelers TT with an awesome time of 19.10 for the 10 miles. Team mate Paul Jones took 2nd place with a time of 19.47 giving the team the top spots on the day and another season win for Sam!

George Skinner rode the Goodwood National B race and came home with a strong 8th place. Another brutal race and a great test for Georges form. Well and truly on the way back to top form.

In their own words....

Matt Dennis...Today me and Julian raced the Winchester crit 3/4. The first sighting lap was basically a sprint for a good position to start the race and was full gas. We managed to navigate the first few laps without incident and avoided all the crashes. Around 15 minutes in me and two other riders created a small gap although one crashed not long after and went for it, quite quickly we had lapped everyone in the field but two riders. We had started to tire in the last 10 minutes and where caught by Julian and another rider. In the final few laps Julian did an amazing job at controlling the race putting me in a great position. In the sprint a rider went early and I jumped on their wheel and waited until 75m to go and came round him and won. After all his work Julian still managed to pick up 3rd leaving us with two riders on the podium, what’s not to like

Will Page......Didn’t have the legs I wanted today at the E-1-2 Winchester town Centre Crit but kept on battling till the end. The race split up from the off and the lead group was made up of about 10 riders. Behind that it was ones and two on the circuit. After 30 min the race got neutralised due to a big crash. After a 15 min break they started the race and the lead group got a 30 sec gap. As a chasing group we worked hard and kept the pace high to the finish.
Great to be representing the team, thanks to @Bill Temple for taking pictures and the support from @Julian Lockwood and @Matt Dennis on the road side.
Massive thanks to all the sponsors, bring on next weeks RR Where is the team will be riding for the win.

Sam Wadsley....Bournemouth Jubilee wheelers hosted a 10mile time trial down the fast local P415 ski slope course, on a bright and fresh Sunday morning. There didn’t appear to be a breath of wind, yet conditions didn’t seem mega fast out on the road. The downhill “gift” start always see fast speeds, hitting close to 50mph, before settling into a time trialling rhythm out towards the turn. I was very happy with my ride, clocking 19.10 for 10 miles (avg 31.3mph!) taking my 5th open time trial win for the season. Great to see Paul Jones come home in second place, stopping the clock at 19.47, the only other rider under 20mins and securing a primera-teamjobs 1-2! As always, big thanks to all the Marshalls and timekeepers who run the event, and not forgetting our mega sponsors who ensure we are always riding the best kit!
