When you need to blend ruggedness, efficiency, and down right nimbleness into one trail bike, it's pretty damn hard to beat the confidence inspiring construction of an alloy frame like the Stumpjumper FSR Comp 650b. It features an M5 alloy construction that's lightweight, durable, and plenty stiff and compliant, while a durable blend of Shimano and SRAM components have been hand selected to ensure that you get the most performance over rugged terrain possible. And when you factor in our proprietary Rx Trail Tune at the shock, plus an aggressive, trail-eating geometry that features absurdly short chainstays, a roomy top tube, a low bottom bracket, and a slacked out front end, you get a trail bike that you can be confident in, season after season.

  • M5 alloy Trail Chassis with Stumpjumper FSR rear end blends durability, stiffness, and light weight, while 150mm of travel Trail 650b Geometry provide more than capable handling.
  • Connected with our FSR 6-Pack Linkage, a custom FOX FLOAT Evolution rear shock features AUTOSAG for easy setup and 150mm of plush, adjustable suspension, while our Rx Trail Tune provides a more supple, responsive, and efficient feel for climbing up and descending down the trail.
  • RockShox Revelation RC3 650b fork features a 15mm Maxle Lite thru-axle and 150mm of plush travel to take on hits and bumpy terrain with more control and confidence.
  • Command Post IRcc seatpost features 12 positions of up to 125mm of height adjustability for a more customizable position, ultimately resulting in more control and increased handling on both climbs and descents.

Primera Review

We have been waiting a long time for this bike at Primera. Specialized Stumpjumper has always been a model we have ridden and still do.  We have all ridden them round local trails, Wales and the Alps and now with a dedicated 650b frame it’s a sure winner. Specialized are a company which never stands still and once on board a Stumpy neither will you. We took the demo bike out as soon as it landed and must say it put a very large smile on our faces. Some of our Primera staff members ride harder than others and Jack from our Bournemouth store is one that rides to the max, he rides a Specialized Stumpjumer  and rides everything from Moors Valley to the Megavalanche in France. The Mega is a crazy mass start downhill race which is not for the faint hearted, apart from taking your brain out before the start you need to be fully confident with your bike choice, Jack ride his Stumpy.

Best full sus for the money

I choose the Stumpjumper FSR Comp as it's got the best frame for the price point, M5 tubing giving a great ride, new Shimano brakes giving increased performance,. Best all round bike for the money and loving the 650b wheel size. (Posted on 20/01/2016)
