Description

ROTOR Bike Components comes from one of the nerve centres of technological development in Spain, the Aeronautical Engineering School of Madrid. The basic idea of the ROTOR System comes from this school where some students developed the initial prototype in 1995. After the Head of the school approved the project, the University's Manufacturing Department helped with the creation of the prototypes.

The designers decided to establish a company to complete this product development and start a business venture. After the first working ROTOR bicycle was introduced internationally, Dr. Conconi showed a huge interest in the idea and asked for a bicycle to carry out a study on the performance of the system, concluding that the system provided advantages more than evident compared to traditional crank systems. Dr. Alfredo Cordova, from Valladolid University, also found that later versions of ROTOR System provided biomechanical obvious advantages.

ROTOR’s trademark products integrate their signature “out-of-the-box” engineering solutions with our function-per-feature philosophy. Their in house manufacturing capacity and know-how offer the highest possible quality to cyclists, whether they are one of our world champions or a weekend warrior.

Power Cranks -  Revolutionise your training with ROTOR POWER. ROTOR’s patented POWER meter crankset will improve your training quality and experience. And at just 30g more than the standard 3D+ MAS crank, it’s probably the lightest power measurement option out there.

The POWER brings scientific knowledge to the road by combining two proven products: ROTOR’s 3D+ crank and the respected Mep Lab power measurement system by AIP. With this rich heritage, it’s clear that the ROTOR POWER isn’t just “any old power meter”. The POWER is in fact two, super-accurate, independent power meters - one left, one right. This gives you quality data no other system can provide:

  • Individual left & right “power balance” measurement.
  • Independent positive and negative power output. unsurpassed accuracy due to symmetrical crank deformation with 8 strain gauges (no need for extensive calculus or data altering).
  • ANT+ compatibility.
  • Easy battery replacement.
  • Standard Micro Adjust Spider (MAS) for fine-tuning your Q-Ring position.
  • 30mm UBB axle design will allow it to be installed on almost any bike – regardless if it's 24 or 30mm BB system. With useful, functional information, this is the power measurement product we’ve all been waiting for.
