A simple cult classic, made in the UK for UK conditions
If one bike could sum up what a UK trail bike should be it’s going to be the Orange Five. It’s been around for over ten years now and it continues to get better and better. It has a no nonsense single pivot design and it's hand built in the UK.
The 2016 version has had a few tweaks to improve an already great bike. It’s a little bit longer, a little bit slacker and stiffer, it’s lost a bit of weight too.
There are three models in the Orange Five range, the Pro, the RS, and the Factory. With all of the models you have the option to custom spec some parts. There is also an option for custom colours.
With the five you have 140mm front and rear travel, perfect for UK trail riding. The suspension is a single pivot design which may seem very simple compared to most multi linkage bikes but it works so why over complicate things.
So if you are looking for a simple, uncomplicated and tough trail bike the Orange could well be the bike for you. It’s become a bit of a cult classic and continues to be one of the best trial bikes on the market today. Built in the UK for UK conditions, it’s a bike for someone who spends more time riding than taking them apart. It’s a real rider’s bike.
